About the Role

The Finance Systems Analyst will provide day-to-day ERP support and take ownership of key finance-related modules, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets and cash management. This is a hands-on role supporting system enhancements, upgrades and integrations, as well as contributing directly to month-end and year-end close processes.

The Finance Systems Analyst will also be responsible for developing and maintaining reports and ERP reporting tools, supporting troubleshooting, and helping end users through training and process documentation. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support, troubleshooting and practical resolution for the ERP system and associated applications.
  • Configure and maintain ERP modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Cash Management.
  • Test and implement system enhancements, upgrades and integrations in a controlled and reliable way.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy of financial data and reporting outputs.
  • Develop and maintain reports and ERP reporting tools to support financial reporting and operational visibility.
  • Train end users and produce process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and IT teams to coordinate system fixes and improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency across finance operations.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as an ERP Systems Analyst, Business Analyst or in a similar systems-focused role—ideally supporting finance functions.
  • Hands-on experience with a major ERP platform (Elite 3e preferred; or equivalent ERP experience is welcome).
  • Strong understanding of core finance and accounting processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • SQL or strong data querying skills for reporting, validation and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with the confidence to translate business needs into clear system requirements.
  • Confident communication across Finance, IT and wider stakeholders—able to explain technical detail clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, particularly during close periods.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on automation, process optimisation and sustainable system performance.
