About the Role:

The Interim Finance Assistant position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of two highly regarded festivals over a 6 month contract. Working within a hybrid remote setup, with two days a week in London, this role provides exposure to diverse aspects of financial management in the entertainment sector. The Finance Assistant will collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting, efficient invoice processing, and seamless payment operations. The role promises a dynamic work environment, particularly in the lead-up to the summer festivals, offering hands-on involvement with impactful projects that contribute to the success of these renowned events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices for operational costs and set up weekly payment runs.
  • Handle invoices for artists and talent, manage payment runs, and ensure timely remittances.
  • Maintain AP and AR ledgers, reconcile supplier statements, and resolve invoicing issues promptly.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting into the Group consolidation system (Onestream).
  • Manage overseas withholding tax issues for festival artists.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across finance and non-finance departments for accurate analysis and reporting.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc reporting projects as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in maintaining AP ledgers with a strong track record of accuracy.
  • AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in GCSE (or higher) Maths and English Language.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent numerical, financial, and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience using Xero software is preferable.
