International Financial Controller

Required Skills:

• Recognized professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or regional equivalent)
• Proven experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency accounting and statutory compliance
• Expertise in consolidations, foreign currency translation, and complex US GAAP to IFRS/local GAAP reconciliations
• Demonstrated ability to accelerate month-end and quarter-end close processes while ensuring accuracy
• Hands-on experience supporting international entity registration, banking setups, and internal control environments
• Strong knowledge of managing statutory audits, tax filings (VAT/GST, corporate income tax), and transfer pricing across multiple jurisdictions
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, with advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling
• Ability to lead cross-border teams and manage multiple regulatory, audit, and payroll calendars concurrently

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end accounting, consolidation, and reporting cycle for seven international entities, ensuring a streamlined, sub-10-day close
• Oversee statutory compliance, including audits, tax filings, and local regulatory requirements in various jurisdictions
• Modernize and automate key workflows such as month-end close and accounts payable processes to improve scalability and efficiency
• Manage relationships with local banking partners, establish new legal entities, and embed robust internal controls from the ground up
• Mentor and develop a distributed team across London and India, promoting operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with US and international finance teams to create a cohesive, scalable global financial foundation
• Implement and optimize foreign exchange, intercompany, and cash management strategies to mitigate risks and support multi-currency operations

• Prior experience in infrastructure, technology, or high-growth tech companies
• Strong communication skills to work effectively across time zones and cultural landscapes
• Experience with financial automation tools such as FloQast, Bill.com, or Concur
• Knowledge of international banking setup, transfer pricing, and legal considerations for cross-border transactions

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an related field; advanced qualifications preferred
• 5+ years of senior finance or controllership experience, preferably within a multi-national environment
• Demonstrated success in scaling finance functions and implementing automation in complex, multi-jurisdictional settings
