About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively partner with the Development team to understand project activity and performance.
  • Build strong relationships with Development Managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights that support decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting cycles, tracking performance against budgets and investigating variances.
  • Support the preparation and review of financial models and development appraisals, evaluating investment opportunities through detailed financial analysis and scenario modelling.
  • Monitor the financial performance of development projects, including costs, cash flow, and returns, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.
  • Produce accurate and timely management information and translate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Contribute to finance system enhancements, process improvements, and activities related to system changes, including testing and data validation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and modelling capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, or business partnering roles.
  • Prior experience in real estate or development is advantageous but not essential. Experience in infrastructure, construction, or capital projects will also be considered.
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills.
  • Experience with financial systems, with an interest in process improvement being a plus.
  • Exposure to ERP or finance system implementations is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across teams and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
