About the Role

The Group Reporting Manager position is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to play a key role in building and scaling the finance function of this company. Acting as the Number 2 to the Group CFO, the Group Reporting Manager will take ownership of group accounting and reporting while contributing to strategic initiatives, including fundraising, M&A, and investor reporting. This hands-on role offers exposure to a globally operating business and the chance to make a significant impact while working in a fully remote capacity, with occasional travel to Canada, the US, and other international locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage end-to-end group accounting processes.
  • Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare and manage trial balances, ensuring accurate postings.
  • Oversee credit-to-ledger accounting and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Deliver multi-currency group consolidations and eliminations.
  • Perform financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Build and maintain financial models for investments, projects, and growth initiatives.
  • Support investment valuation, M&A activities, and integration processes.
  • Assist in creating investor presentations and reporting decks.
  • Work closely with the CFO to design and implement scalable finance processes and controls.
  • Contribute to defining systems, reporting frameworks, and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting and group reporting experience.
  • Proficiency in multi-currency consolidations and intercompany accounting.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, internationally operating startup environment.
