David MacLeod – Our Second Speaker on Employee Engagement, Motivation and Retention

We are incredibly excited to have David MacLeod as one of our inspirational speakers sharing his experiences, motivations and knowledge on Employee Engagement, Motivation and Retention.David is co-Chair of the Employee Engagement Task Force launched by the Prime Minister at Number 10 in 2011. He is also a visiting Professor of the Cass Business School, a Fellow of the Ashridge Business School, the Institute of Marketing, the CMI, and of the RSA.

We are incredibly excited to have David MacLeod as one of our inspirational speakers sharing his experiences, motivations and knowledge on Employee Engagement, Motivation and Retention.David is co-Chair of the Employee Engagement Task Force launched by the Prime Minister at Number 10 in 2011. He is also a visiting Professor of the Cass Business School, a Fellow of the Ashridge Business School, the Institute of Marketing, the CMI, and of the RSA.

This follows an early career in marketing followed by becoming a CEO of a global business formed through the merger of an ICI and a Unilever business. This impressive and vast range of experiences means he has gained substantial insight and a strong understanding of how business works – and the people within it.

He co-authored the book entitled ‘The Extra Mile’, published by Pearson, which discusses the topic of Employee Engagement. Alongside this, David is co-author of the MacLeod Report, ‘Engaging for Success’ commissioned by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, described by the CMI as the definitive work on this subject.

He has been an NED of Ofsted, DfID, the MOJ and has worked for a year and a half in the Cabinet Office. David was awarded an OBE for services to Employee Engagement and Business in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in June 2013. He has had a remarkable accolade of achievements and successes which has provided him with invaluable experience in the field of Employee Engagement, leading him to be recognised as a leader and expert within this field.
